Digital and Campus Services provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that brings together the digital and physical environments for students and staff, supporting their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs.

The Security Team is responsible for the delivery of services such as security and traffic, emergency management and access control to enhance the on-campus experience for students, staff and visitors.

This includes aspects of risk, security and traffic operations matters with a strong focus on service delivery and mental health response.

The role
The role of the Operations Coordinator is to assist in the day to day management of the outsourced security contract, and internal Security Staff for the provision of security & traffic services across all campuses. The role requires a focus on the continuous improvement of operational systems and the associated improvement in processes and practices through the maintenance of work instructions, Co-ordinating of staff training and ongoing development. Through supportive leadership, this position ensures a safe and secure environment on all campuses through the management and maintenance of appropriate physical resources and integrated electronic security protection and detection systems, use of security risk assessments and staff awareness programs.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in managing large supplier contracts including the development of applications and measurement of KPI’s, negotiation and planning of contract variations along with investigation and rectification of performance issues.

Acting from time to time as the Chief Emergency Warden, the role requires periods when you may be on call to serve as an escalation point for emergency situations.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $93,378 to $104,628 pa, plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
